Evangel Ric M. Lapore – Updated Profile

Born in the Philippines and grew up in a family of musicians, started singing and playing the piano age 10 at their family owned school of music. Was teaching piano in high school, composing music and was in a band for 8 years as keyboard and backing vocalist. Finished his Bachelor’s degree in Management from Silliman University and gone into music technology and composition in 1992 when he met American Music Professor Danford Byrens.

Won songwriting competitions locally and released his own self-produced album the same year after winning several songwriting contests. Finished his Masters in Business Administration degree from the Ateneo de Davao University while teaching part-time and managing a 24 channel analogue recording/rehearsal studio as in-house musical arranger, songwriter, and assistant engineer. Worked in Manila for Polycosmic Records (a Polygram Company) as Sales Supervisor and A and R coordinator in 1994 in three different key cities. 2001 was signed up with Dyna Records as Recording Artist and released an album of 10 original compositions arranged and interpreted with hit song revival “When you remember me”. Worked with Dyna Records producer Boyet Manahan, Tracks Studio Producer Angee Rozul, South Border producer/arranger Jay Durias and other producers in the Philippines music industry.

Left for the UK and took formal study in Music Production and Commercial Audio Engineering from the MIDI school in Manchester under Cristophe Mcbride, Audio Mastering sessions with Paul O’Brien at POB Audio Studios, the Music Masters course with David Tolan and Producer Jim Spencer. Won top 2 in the 2008 UK Songwriting Contest out of 6500 entries worldwide with track “He’s alive not a lie”. USA Songwriting Contest 2008 as finalist with “Dream I found” and Pacific Australian Songwriting 1st place winner Dance Category with “J45”. Released in the UK his self-produced gospel album “He’s a live” in 2008 while performing and as musical director at Life Change Community Church.
Freelance live sound engineer, audio lecturer and piano tutor as well as worked for Studiospares Ltd. in London. (A Pro Audio Company). Worked with Paolo Urban Chain Studios Engineer and John Robinson at Clique Productions London and other London studios. Produced Erela Mae’s “Wish you were here” album in London 2012 and 2014 released another Christian Gospel Album of his compositions “Worship the Lord”. Finally, finished his degree in Prof. Sound and Video Technology with First Honours from the University of Salford, Media City UK.

More than 20 years of mixed music industry experience as performer, arranger, singer/songwriter, audio & video engineer, lecturer and producer up to this time.
