Studio Music Production (MIDI and Live Instruments)

Here you go folks the Vocal takes at studio B Newton Building for the song "Friends" ...can you see the Neumann U87? picture courtesy of Nick Caville's Photography

I’ve been wanting to post this project but quite hesitant what might be the reaction of my team… as this has not been published or released in the market at all… It’s an original composition entitled Friends … from scratch to the studio demo. We basically mic up the Yamaha Grand Piano at the Peel Hall then recorded using 4 condenser mics the Rode NT2A brilliant mics… played the piano then did a few shoots… i mean filming… hmmm… it’s going quite well… maybe as a start of this unfinished project in Studio Production I’ll first post the lyrics… then we will be building this blog with the rest of the instrumentation and vocals polished to be mixed and mastered… so tune in … posting live recording techniques… micking the piano, recording the guitars and the bass or midi programming the strings section and the live drums set up… so,  here it is folks… the lyrics…

FRIENDS

When your feeling so lonely, Struggling for hope and money,

Don’t cry, don’t hide away, The joy of life ain’t so far away.

So bury your troubles, And leave your past behind,

A friend will always help you find,

All those good times in your mind (life)

REFRAIN

Oh, the world is alive tonight, They’ll be lighting up your heart tonight,

The night is all complete, When your standing on your feet.

They’ll make your future, So much greater in sight.

So bury your troubles, And leave your past behind,

A friend will always help you find,

All those good times in your mind (life)

CHORUS

Friends are friends are your rock,

Friends are friends are  your love,

They have this gift to make time stand still,

Who would I be,  Without you

What would I be without you…

What would I be without you near (friend)

Repeat Refrain the Chorus

composed by :  E. Ric Lapore & N. Holder
